CARE TIPS FOR YOUR CANDLES AND DIFFUSERS:

CANDLES:

  • Place your candle on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects and drafts before lighting.

  • Trim the wick of your candle to 6mm before each use to prevent the candle from smoking.

  • When burning your candle for the first time, allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container to prevent tunnelling.

  • Avoid burning your candle for more than 3 - 4 hours at a time.

  • Do not leave your candle unattended while burning.

  • Keep your candle out of reach of children and pets.

  • People with perfume sensitivities should be cautious when using candles.

  • Never move your candle while lit.

  • Extinguish your candle if it flickers, smokes or the flame is too high and light it again.

  • Ensure the wick of your candle is upright and centered at the end of each burn to prevent the glass from overheating and cracking.

  • When your candle has 10mm of wax remaining, stop burning it.

  • Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Candle containers may be reused around the home by washing them in warm soapy water.

Safety instructions are also placed on the base of your candle.

My candles are all hand poured at my home studio and made from 100% soy wax. As with all soy candles, they have unique characteristics. They are sensitive to changes in temperature with the wax pulling away from the glass container in cooler conditions and adhering again in warmer conditions. Over time or when placed in direct sunlight, the wax may discolour. These characteristics will not affect the performance of your candle.

DIFFUSERS:

  • Place your diffuser on a stable, flat surface, in a cool, draft free area away from direct sunlight and heat. Place your diffuser away from electrical equipment and sockets as it contains liquid.

  • If using a flower, place its ribbon into the container and leave it to soak up the liquid. If using reeds, place the reeds into the container, then turn after 10 minutes to coat both ends. Turn the reeds whenever you want a burst of fragrance.

  • Keep your diffuser out of reach of children and pets.

  • Avoid contacting the diffuser liquid with your skin and eyes and do not swallow the liquid. Wash your hands after handling the reeds or use gloves.

  • People with perfume sensitivities should be cautious when using diffusers.

  • If the fragrance is too strong, you can remove some of the reeds.

  • Do not allow the liquid to drip or splash onto any surfaces.

  • Wipe spills up immediately with a damp cloth.

  • Do not light the reeds or flower.

  • Store your diffuser in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

  • Diffuser containers may be reused around the home by washing them in warm soapy water. They make great vases!
